November Nuggets 29

“Speak only when you feel your words are better than silence”

Are we really on the 29th day? I can’t believe it. Oh yay, how did I manage that? Interesting how I feel like I have repeated the same story in 28 different ways over the last 28 days. In a way I have. After all, it was all about yoga. Perhaps every post in this blog is repeating the same story in a multitude of ways. That’s why I believe this experience to be beyond words, I feel as though words wouldn’t suffice what I want to convey. My journey is traveling toward a space where there are no words but pure experience. Stillness and silence speaks a language I am unable to transform into words that do them justice. These days I feel extremely comfortable in silence. It took me awhile to get here, and am grateful to have gotten to this point. I suppose I am also glad to have gotten through November, so I can dive back into the beauty that is silence. Gratitude! πŸ•‰πŸŒžβ€οΈπŸ™

  1. These days I feel like I want to listen more and speak less. But when I speak less, I feel like I am giving less to the other person.

I understand the beautify of silence, there is more depth in it, more clarity and conviction. While I will always be a lover of words, words do come with the con of making yourself repetitive.

    1. β€œWe are fascinated by the words – but where we meet is in the silence behind them” love this one from Ram Dass.

And this one, I do believe this to be true –

β€œThose who cannot understand your silence, cannot understand your words”

  2. If everyone keep silent, how does a conversation happen?. How relationships are built?
Is it that the righteous stay silent and the rowdies talk πŸ™‚
Words are very important for me to understand a person, their perspectives, their love and much more.
There may be deeper meaning to what you say UL.
